Between the years 2002 and 2005 I studied Fine Art at UWE, Bristol specialising in my self-taught subject of typewriter art. I am constantly developing and exploring ways of creating images using different intensities of typed letters, numbers and punctuation marks.

Since graduating, I have revisited previous interests such as drawing and painting and have rediscovered my enjoyment of these techniques with new subject matters, always maintaining my (often evident) preoccupation with process. I think this motivation was inspired by my moving back to Dorset and the beautiful surroundings; the sea and rivers, the forests and trees and plants, and the historical buildings. I have a new excitement and am inspired and focused on a range of projects. I’ve also found that the techniques I’m learning on my jewellery & silversmithing course at The Bournemouth and Poole College are other new and exciting ways to express my ideas.

I am currently on the look-out for suitable venues to show my work in Dorset (and elsewhere), whilst entering work for open exhibitions and competitions. I am always interested in collaborating with other artists in group shows or events, so if you have any ideas please contact me and we can discuss them!
